by popular demand we will go back to the Pendle Inn for the 2009 Xmas Trip

I can now confirm the cost of the Christmas Trip will be £30 I had hoped to keep it down to £25 which what it has been for the last 4 years but costs have gone up so sorry, and I need to fill a 53 seater! Menu as follows:

STARTERS:
* Smoked salmon, Prawn and Cream cheese with baked bread
* Melon and Prosciutto with sauce Marie rose
* Baked mushrooms with blue cheese
* Chefs soup of the day

MAINS:
* Lancashire Roast Turkey with all the trimmings
* Honey Roast Ham with Madeira and Tarragon Sauce
* Baked Salmon Steak with Prawns sea salt and black pepper butter
* Mushroom Thai Red Curry with rice

DESSERTS:
* Traditional Christmas Pudding
* Chocolate Toffee Crunch
* Winter Berry Crumble
* Selection of Ice Cream

SOCIAL STUFF...

AUTUMN/WINTER 2009/10

I would like to welcome you all to our social section of the website and especially new and current members and guests who may be looking in for the first time. Once again we had a busy Spring/Summer kicking off with our annual Dinner and presentations in March at the Bradford & Bingley Sports Club, a great effort by Ruth and her team! Then the Charity Barn Dance in June which is now a well established event on the club Social Calendar and will take on more significance next year when the evening will be in honor of Jenny Vesey.

The Summer Trip to the Sheppard’s Rest was another great success and if the demand is there, I will try to do two Trips in 2010. There will also be an additional Charity Event held in the Barn at my place on the 15th of May, a Rock Night in aid of the Bradford Burns Unit. The monthly Pub runs are back starting in November. Also there is food available after training every Thursday unless otherwise stated. So please come into the bar for a chat and a nice warm meal. Thanks to Barbara and Becky we also have a ladies night in the bar on the last Thursday of each month. So it’s all happening down at the B&B!

Please check the Social section on our website and notice board at the B&B Sports Club for details of all events taking place throughout the year. I am always looking for suggestions from members on how we can continue to improve our Social environment at the Club so don’t be shy!
