The final handicap of the year was run under reasonable conditions with a good turnout. It was good to see some old faces that have not competed for a good few years. John Garrad made good use of his handicap to come home in first place.
Soon to be vet 40 Martin Peace had an excellent run from scratch to record the fastest time of the day. Cath Howlett also had an excellent run to record the fastest Ladies time of the day.
The handicapper's target time this year was 106.00 so handicaps will be amended accordingly. You have been warned. General consensus seems to favour the riverside path as opposed to the canal towpath as the fastest route option. The presentations were made at the Fisherman by ex club President Barbara Carney. Our thanks go to Landlord Bob and his staff for their usual warm welcome. Many thanks to all who assisted with marshalling, time keeping etc.
A Merry Xmas and happy New Year to all
