Well done everyone who ran yesterday, and a particularly big hand to mudbaby, who was looking extremely nervous at registration - I was really pleased to see you come through Hill Inn before the cutoff! The weather was fantastic for marshalling, even if it was a bit hot for the runners themselves.

I'd like to echo everything already said by my fellow club members re the organisation - absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to do it again next year and my target is to stay on my feet this time!!! Well done everyone and thanks to all for the encouragement during the race.

I've just been reading the latest entries in the Three Peaks thread on the Fellrunner forum and came across this:

"It was me (unless any other crazy fools did the same!) and yes I did survive both! I finished the 3 Peaks in 4h 57m (first time) and found it very tough in the second half. I did the London Marathon on Sunday in 3h 50m, and, strangely enough, found that very tough in the second half too!!

Had a fantastic weekend, but loads to sort out and catch up on. Will post a link to my photos when I've got them sorted out - 3 Peaks and London Marathon.

I enjoyed both events enormously, and will be back for the 3 Peaks next year, but next time on its own!
"

Respect!!!!

What a great day! Found it hard but so pelased to achieve it and it really made me take my training up a notch. Mr Webb was so jelous and vows to be there next year - he has some great pictures of us all so whatch this space. :D

Highlights include; actually sleeping the night before, the fantatsic supporters, enjoying the sunny weather, making the Hill Inn checkpoint by 17 minutes and beating Nethers!! The first and last time methinks.

Thanks for all the support and congratulations us 'first timers' got. It really is great to get a race under your belt that you never thought you were good enough to do! 8-)

My little contribution. Part One only until Friday night. The sound doesn't kick in until about 45 secs. I took about 30mins of video which I should be able to edit down to 3 parts of less than 6 mins each. I edited this one in Movie Maker and tried to upload to You Tube. They still wouldn't have it because of music copyright so I had to reload into my camcorder and 'capture' it again in Studio Pinnacle. Well it has been raining all day!!! Enjoy. Excuse the shaking I was still out of breath trying to beat the race to the foot of Pen.

excellent photos, but check out their photos from 1992 that they have published at the same time. There is a belter of Mick Ford that I would struggle to recognise. Is that a moustache, Mick? and hair? Good ones of winner Fergie. :o 8-)

Just wanted to say a belated congrats to all the ladies who completed the course on Saturday - in fact, all of you who took part. Particular mention must go to Twin Peaks and Mudbaby on their first outings, especially Mudbaby who was worried sick she wouldn't make the cut-offs. And what about Jenny? - I need to make some enquiries but I think she may be the first O/60 lady to complete the course ever - and in a superb time too! Rachael stuck it out and finished in spite of the fact that she had cramp most of way round - at the end of the race she said "never, never, never again!" - I'm sure we've heard that somewhere before!!Soxy Lady, Sharron S and Pauline M are old hands at the race by now and both had good runs, beating last year's times. Well done all of you - it's great to see Bingley ladies in so many of the fell race results these days.
