Junior Off-Road Training - Saturday Mornings

Postby N&G » Fri Oct 30, 2009 8:58 pm

Each Saturday morning from 21st November there will be an adult led junior (9 years+) training run starting from the Bradford & Bingley Sports Club.

The runs will last for approx. 1 hour between 9am and 10am and be almost entirely off-road.

Cost = £1.00 / junior runner (adults free)

It is always difficult to cater for all ages and abilities so the intention / hope is that parents of younger / slower athletes may like to come along and join the run to ensure that nobody is left behind.

Faster runners will be encouraged to add loops or reps as required to allow the slower runners to catch up - by doing so everyone has a good session.

Hope you can join us - the more the merrier.... :P

As expected it was a low turnout this morning but I'm sure those hardy souls that did come along will be repaid by great results this coming season - well done to all of you that made the effort.

We had a great run through Cottingley Wood and got a bit carried away in terms of both time and distance - sorry about that

Anyway, you should all be proud of yourselves for churning out 6 quality miles - here's the route :-

Thanks also to my intrepid adult helpers - especially Steve who gave us all a masterclass in lace tying :P
