Tuesday Night Senior Quality Training Plan
As summer draws to a close and the cold dark nights approach I'm sure you're all eager to get back to some high quality training on a Tuesday evening.
Now that the facilities at University Academy Keighley (Formerly Greenhead School) are finished, we've added some track sessions into the plan which adds a great new dimension to our coaching schedule. For those that can't get to Keighley or don't want to run on the track we're also running a session from the B&B club on the same night so there's no excuse for not training.
I'm also delighted to be able to tell you that our Tuesday evening coaching team now has three members so you'll also benefit from our different styles and approaches to training. Simon Wright, Martin Peace and myself will be leading the sessions which once again will be aimed at improving your speed, strength and stamina with a view to boosting your fitness and athletic performance.
We look forward to seeing you at the club / track soon.
Andy, Martin & Simon

Veterans Section - 2012
A Happy New Year to all, Xmas is over and you need to shed those mince pies!
A new year brings new challenges and the time to set new targets. Obviously to reach those targets most of us need to train hard
and prepare for races meticulously. Work out how you are going to achieve your goals and if you need any help please contact me by e-mail (see below). I can offer you a wealth of advice. What I can promote are the Tuesday training sessions held at Beckfoot
coordinated by Andy Nicoll which start next week. I will be there taking part and I will be there if you need to talk me about anything.
The detailed training sessions will appear on the forum soon.
A newsletter will appear soon under Vets News listing all the up and coming races and of special interest will be the BMAF Road Relays on 12th May at Sutton Coalfield where the club will be putting on a 53 seater coach to try and get as many teams as possible taking part at this very special event. More to follow in the Newsletter.
In the meantime I need names for the Yorkshire Vets Cross Champs - Doncaster Sunday Feb 19th! Men and Women, entries to me or Sue Beaconsall.

Mike Smith
2011 Ladies Champion
Aly Raw

5 harriers set off on the Wadsworth Half Trog taking in some of the Calder Valleys most spectacular bogs and muddy tracks after recent heavy rain. Unfortunately the Castle Carr section which is the best bit of the race had to be omitted due to shooting. Lee Athersmith was 4th this year ending his run of previous wins. The only championship left to complete was in the mens Vet 50s where Mike Smith overhauled Pete Jagan to win for the third year in a row whilst Marc Latham was first vet 50 home. Well done to all who took part in this years championship and congratulations to Andy Jebb overall champion ,Aly Raw Ladies champion and Richard Scott Vet 40s champion. Please let me know if you have any preferences you would like in next years races and any comments about the format at present (Mick Ford)
